Back in school

Back in school is a reflection on my memories of school, and how they still influence and impact me as an adult. The photographic element reflects my current, adult world, but these are viewed through a lens of scribbles, graffiti and additional media, all of which was found on school premises. A visual representation of how the past affects our viewpoint.

Working with themes of self-hatred, repression/claustrophobia, rules/regulations and the stripping of identity for the ideals of conformity. These images represent the crossover and blending of experiences, my memories, blended with the new generation of students. It asks, are our experiences so different?
